These pdf files have been processed by Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to provide searchable text. This text has not yet been proof-read for error correction and is no substitute for the page image in the pdf file. However, it does provide a fairly high-quality search capability. You can search the OCR text and link to the pdf files with this search box. Within the results, you can see the OCR text by clicking on the "view as HTML" link in the search result. These are large files so you can use the "Ctrl F" find in your browser to locate the instances of your search term within the text.

For accurate text, you must look at the page in the pdf version of the document. MSSA plans to correct this OCR text and eventually will move the entire record into the library digital repository for easier access.
